Yoga Teacher Training in The Philippines
Yoga Teacher Training in the Philippines February 15th - 28th.
It has been truly extraordinary moving and integrating into the small village of Sagada here in the Philippines. Honestly, when I first arrived 4 months ago, I did not know if I would stay through the week, but over the months the people and place have shown me an experience rich beyond reason. The people have so embraced us (Erica and I), and over the holidays we received more invitations to family gatherings and parties than we could possibly juggle. We like to joke that we have more of a social calendar here than we did back in the States. Click here to view some of the pictures of our experience so far.
The program at the hospital continues to evolve as patients make the trip to this beautiful Mountain Province for treatment, and the visions of creating a sustainable community here become more and more of a reality. Synchronistic events seem to happen almost regularly. One of the questions that Erica and I been pondering since settling in is “How can we leave something with the people here that will continue to grow long after we are gone?” We have had such a life-changing experience here in Sagada and want to offer something that will impact the locals long term. We have decided Yoga is the perfect fit!
I have been putting in time at the hospital sharing what I can about fasting and Erica has been teaching Yoga 2 to 3 times a week, with classes that continue to grow. Since we have been together, Erica and I have been asking the universe to show us a way to combine our passions of assisting others on the spiritual path; a way to bring our visions of holding transformational retreats and workshops around the world to fruition. Well, we have our first… A two week, intensive yoga teacher training, here in the Philippines.
Erica, a yoga teacher, yoga studio owner, private yoga therapist and life coach for almost 10 years, (www.ericaboucher.com) has developed EMPATH YOGA, a unique combination of yoga and meditation with elements of hypnosis and empathic listening skills. Here, students will learn how to create and hold the space for others to help them move through stuck emotions, transform limiting beliefs, and heal their bodies. In this 200-hour teacher training program, we will combine powerful yoga therapy with workshops on self awareness, emotional empowerment and communication to help educate and empower ourselves and others in all areas of our lives.
Obviously the Philippines is a third world country, so we wanted to make it affordable for those that were truly interested in growing. After doing some research, we decided to charge 25,000 pesos for Philippinos outside of Sagada (which is equivalent to approximately $500) and a simple “love offering” from the locals here in the poor Mountain Province. Now we would like to extend that same price to you ($500), our friends back home! We thought, what a powerful experience for the locals here and you in the States to come together to learn, grow and share with one another.
Everything we have experienced since our arrival a few months ago will become part of yours: breathtaking hikes through the mountains; a trip to Sagada Hospital to learn about (and experience if you’d like) therapeutic juice fasting, organic farming and other sustainable living practices; as well as opportunities to explore the caves, waterfalls, and even take a pottery class or sit around a fire and chill with our friend Will and his goat, Clyde). Rest assured this will be so much more than yoga training. Sagada is a haven within the Philippines, and we have met people from all over the world that keep coming back for more.
This is a great opportunity to come and explore the Philippines, have a life-changing experience, and get certified in Empath Yoga. AND WHO KNOWS… you may just want to stay a while:).
Other yoga training programs average $2 - 3,000, and this one will too in the future when we start marketing it internationally. If you book right now you can get a round trip ticket to Manila on www.vayama.com for $976, including taxes. And it costs very little to stay here; lodging averages about $4 per night (clean with hot shower), and meals are anywhere from $ .80 to $3.00. We are limiting the participants to 15 due to the intensive nature of the training. There are already 5 friends from the States booked and several locals confirmed! So, if you are interested, contact me today with any questions or you may have or visit Erica’s site below. And don’t worry: we will have somebody here to meet you at the airport to make your experience seemless!
The program is being held February 15th - 28th.
Visit www.ericaboucher.com/empathyogatraining.com for more details.
Note: This program is pending accreditation through Yoga Alliance, and will meet all of the qualifications of its 200-hour program for certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher.
Hope to see you here,
Patrick
